Buying for personal use in Georgia?

Without business licenses, private individuals buying in Georgia may purchase boats, jet skis, snowmobiles and salvage titled items on their own but will need to go through a Broker for all clean titled vehicles.

In Georgia, dealers, dismantlers, general businesses and exporters will need to provide CrashedToys an operational license and a sales tax license for the same physical address, as well as sales tax exemption forms.

The Georgia Secretary of State issues Used Motor Vehicle Dealer and Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealer licenses. You can get your Motorcycle and Trailer Dealer licenses from the Georgia Department of Revenue. Business licenses may be obtained from your local city or county office.
