Buying for personal use in Idaho? You have the green light! This means you can purchase clean and salvage titled vehicles without business licenses.
|
In Idaho, dealers, dismantlers, general businesses and exporters will need to provide CrashedToys an operational license and sales tax license for the same physical address, as well as sales tax exemption forms. Idaho non-dealers will be charged sales tax.
Operational licenses include, but aren't limited to, dealer licenses (Vehicle/Vessel, Used Vehicle/Vessel, Wholesale, and Motorcycle licenses) and the dismantler license (Junkyard license). These are issued by the Idaho Transportation Department. Don't forget to get your seller's permit, issued by the Idaho State Tax Commission. Wholesalers may submit the Idaho Sales Tax Resale or Exemption Certificate (Form ST-101) in place of the sales tax license.
These links will provide the forms and information you need to get started with licensing:
Additionally, please complete the following forms and fax them back to CrashedToys' Licensing Department at (800) 787-8650. These documents will be processed within one to two business days of receipt.
