Every state has unique licensing requirements, depending on the type of buyer and the type of vehicle (clean titled or salvage). Therefore, it’s essential to read up on these stipulations before attempting to bid on anything found on CrashedToys.com.
In New Jersey, dealers, dismantlers, general businesses and exporters will need to provide CrashedToys an operational license and a sales tax license for the same physical address, as well as sales tax exemption forms.
Operational licenses include, but aren’t limited to, dealer, dismantler and business licenses. The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission issues dealer licenses, as well as Auto Body Repair Facility and Private Inspection Facility business licenses. Your local municipality will help you acquire dismantler and general business licenses.
The New Jersey Division of Taxation is your go-to for the Business Registration Certificate. The Certificate of Authority should also be obtained from the New Jersey Division of Taxation.

Private individuals buying in New Jersey will need to go through a Broker for all clean titled and salvage items, as well as for boats, jet skis and snowmobiles.
