Every state has unique licensing requirements, depending on the type of buyer and the type of vehicle (clean titled or salvage). Therefore, it’s essential to read up on these stipulations before attempting to bid on anything found on CrashedToys.com.
In Illinois, dealers, dismantlers, general businesses and exporters will need to provide CrashedToys an operational license issued by the Illinois Secretary of State, a sales tax license and sales tax exemption forms. The Illinois Department of Revenue issues the Certificate of Registration sales tax license.
Operational licenses include dealer licenses, dismantler licenses, rebuilder licenses and business licenses. There are several types of licenses that are accepted within each category. Please note, however, that any dealer, dismantler, general business or exporter attempting to bid on salvage vehicles need to have a dismantler license on file with CrashedToys.

Additionally, please complete the following forms and fax them back to CrashedToys’s Licensing Department at (800) 787-8650. These documents will be processed within one to two business days of receipt.
Private individuals buying in Illinois will need to go through a Broker for all clean titled and salvage items, as well as for boats, jet skis and snowmobiles.
