In Kentucky, dealers, dismantlers, general businesses and exporters will need to provide Copart an operational license and a sales tax license for the same physical address, as well as sales tax exemption forms.
The Kentucky Motor Vehicle Commission issues a few different types of dealer and dismantler licenses. For a Motorboat Dealer/Manufacturer Certificate, fill out and submit the appropriate application to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. Business and occupational licenses may be obtained from your local city or county office.
Be sure to also get your sales and use tax permit, issued by the Kentucky Department of Revenue.
